Intense nutmeg scent, sweet fruit notes, velvety fullness
A nearly hot March with very early bud break, followed by a cold and very changeable April and an unusually nasty May with a high risk of late frost. Everything hangs in the balance – with a bit of luck, we'll be spared. The summer is a bit like it used to be, with sufficient, almost abundant rain without any major heat waves. The start to autumn is very warm – almost sweltering at night. The harvest begins somewhat hesitantly but quickly picks up speed, ending in October (October 5th) for the first time in a long time.
