Spätburgunder GG dry Vogelsang 2022
Product description
Tasting Note
Deep and changing garnet red in the glass, intense scent of wild berries, sour cherries and cassis, some dark tobacco and black pepper. Distinctive and spicy on the palate, with vibrant acidity, perfectly balanced tannin structure and very subtle, well-integrated wood. Full-bodied and powerful, yet always elegant and delicate. Lots of character and length, enormous potential. Multifaceted! An excellent accompaniment to hearty mushroom dishes, veal, but above all a real treat for pan-fried or braised game!

A dry winter with a warm spring, a brief winter break at the end of April with wet snow and a long-awaited 80 liters of precipitation, a hot and dry early summer, and a relieving thunderstorm at Whitsun mitigated the drought. The summer started off dry and hot, dry until the end of the grape harvest – the driest growing season to date. The early, rapid harvest in the summer air ended on September 29th.
